Status Of 10 Political Promises Of National Interest

In India, political parties has practice to boast on big promises to cater votes during elections. Below are status of some election time promises by ruling party.
1. Bullet train quadrilateral
High speed rail corporation has been setup in 2012. Subsequently present BJP govt. has resolved to run bullet trains connecting four major cities. Though this project is not moving as govt. have to decide whether to run bullet trains or high speed trains. Feasibility study has been carried out by Spanish company Talego as well as Japanese company for Bullet trains.Project is moving damn slow.

2. Lowering income tax
Lowering income tax rates has been promised by present govt. but it did not happen in two financial years after its formation. Some relief has been announced in budget of 2017 only.

3. Cleaning up Ganga
Cleaning of river Ganga is the prime agenda of GOI. 231 projects has been started to do the needful. Funds of Rs. 20000 crores have been allocated for those projects. Aim was to finish cleaning work by yea 2020 which is not feasible by present pace of work.

4. Expelling all the Bangladeshis
No outcome on this issue till date. There is no initiative taken by govt. to tackle this problem

5. Black money recovery
Though agenda was to recover back black money from outside India but govt. carried out demonetization to recover and curb on black money. A drive of voluntary disclosure of disproportionate assets was also carried out before demonetization drive. Govt seems to be tough on its stand and pursuing agenda successfully.

6. Scrapping of article 370
There is no movement on this issue and Kashmir is still having special privileges. Instaed of abolishing this article, BJP has formed coalition with PDP in Kashmir. PDP is not agree on abolishing article 370

7. Clean India
Initiative has been taken up by govt. and our PM has special interest in this project. Govt is keenly interested In achieving its target and driving it hardly.

8. Lower prices of everyday commodity
This is not happening and a reverse of it is the trend since last two years. Cost of living is increasing continuously and inflation rate is increasing.

9. Empowering the anti corruption institutions
No movement on this front. No extra mile achievement in this connection. Govt. is reluctant to bring reforms.

10. Bringing RTI on political parties
A big NO for this from all political parties including ruling one.
